Is the WhaleGauge™ system autoclavable?

es. The WhaleGauge stainless steel main body, measuring ruler, and vertical spacers are fully autoclavable and designed for repeated clinical use. However, the white Bite Forks are single-use only to ensure patient safety and prevent cross-contamination.

Can I use my existing George Gauge™ bite forks with this system?

No. The WhaleGauge uses a proprietary “Step-Lock” connection on our bite forks to ensure maximum stability and prevent the sliding issues common with traditional gauges. You must use authentic WhaleGauge bite forks, which are available in Small, Medium, and Large sizes.

What type of bite registration material should I use?

WhaleGauge is compatible with all standard PVS (Polyvinyl Siloxane) bite registration materials used in sleep dentistry (such as Blu-Mousse®, Kettenbach Futar®, etc.). The open design of the bite fork ensures excellent material retention and easy trimming.
